This website is devoted to the poetry of David Burnett, a remarkable and prolific poet whose work deserves to be far more widely known.
The poems selected offer a sample intended to highlight their formal and thematic range. The selection is ordered not chronologically but thematically and is therefore designed to be read in sequence, beginning with ‘The Heart of Lothian’, and using the arrows at the end of each poem to move forward and back through the selection.
Individual poems can also be accessed by browsing the index to the right.
